BISON PRINT | FALLEN
Yellow Stone National Park. My guide and I were walking when I spotted this lone bison. I asked my guide if we could approach him. He reluctantly agreed as this bison was in deep snow. We took ten steps forward when suddenly, my guide vanished, falling into a deep snow-covered hole. While I did not want to leave the camera unprotected near the looming bison, it was far more critical to rescue my guide from the hole. I put down my equipment and helped him climb out.
In the meantime, the bison had moved closer; he stood only ten feet away.
It gave me a thrill, but my guide was far from pleased. I gave in to his wishes, and we left the area... after I had captured a few shots of the bull.
