THE STORY BEHIND MY BALD EAGLE PHOTOS
Haines, Alaska. Early morning. It was a balmy five degrees Fahrenheit walked over to the river and planted me in a perfect spot, hidden from man and also bird alike. I soon discovered that I had missed out on the action. Firstly, this bald eagle was devouring his salmon breakfast. It was pretty quiet, he knew I was present, but he didn’t seem to mind. I also enjoyed the quiet time we were sharing.
All of a sudden, he cried out a warning to something, or someone, to go away. Meanwhile, he had spotted three other eagles overhead. Concurrently, I turned around and saw three humans walking towards me. As the men approached me to chat, the pack of eagles attacked my friend, forcing him to fly away as a result. I picked up my camera and left.
Lastly, I went back the very next morning, hoping to see my friend again to take more bald eagle photos. Sadly, I had no such luck.
