BALD EAGLE PRINT | JUVENILES
Haines, Alaska. At this point, I had been photographing bald eagles for three years. I have watched them fight over salmon, which I find quite interesting because one always wants what the other one has.
This particular salmon fight went on for several minutes; in the wild fights typically last a few seconds.
Neither food nor the opposite sex was an issue. They were not play fighting as neither gave an inch. They both flew off in separate directions when an adult intervened. This fight still leaves me to wonder: what was that all about?
