BALD EAGLE PRINT | MOMENTS
Haines, Alaska. It was so frigid that no one wanted to move a muscle. I surely did not. I placed my camera on the river's edge and promptly sat down on a log to take it all in. This place never gets old. Photography was the furthest thing from my mind; I wanted to become one with nature. I could hear the sound of ice cracking against the riverbank as it flowed downstream. I distinctly heard the eagles chirping and snow crashing to the ground as branches snapped under the weight ... it was magical. I saw this bald eagle swoop. Everything seemed to move in slow motion, I took a few steps toward my camera and I looked through my viewfinder and took this photograph then I moved my eyes away from my camera and watched the eagle land gracefully. Had time stopped just for me?
Moments like this make enduring the cold worthwhile.
