BEAR PRINT | MOTHER
Lake Clark, Alaska, early morning. A cub wants to play all the time. He doesn't care if you're tired. Just as our children can take their mothers for granted, so did this cub. Look at his claws, they are sharp and long. He bared them in his mother's face goading her to play. Clearly, she was exhausted. She stood silent and strong. I photographed them for over an hour. The cub never relented, he was such a handful!
What I took away is that mothers are the same, whether human or animal: they will do anything for their offspring, even if, at times, they get a paw to the face.
MOTHERS WILL ALWAYS BE MOTHERS.
